In today’s busy world, it can be difficult to find time for everything. We have so many responsibilities and obligations that we sometimes feel like our days are never-ending. One of the best ways to simplify your life is by outsourcing tasks that take up too much of your valuable time.

Simplifying your life is a great idea, but it can be hard to know where to start.

We all have too much stuff and our schedules are maxed out. Our homes are cluttered and chaotic, making us feel overwhelmed and stressed out. We don’t have time for the things that matter most in our lives because we’re too busy dealing with the clutter of everyday life.

The problem is that many people think simplifying their lives means giving up all of the things they love. But simplifying your life doesn’t have to be hard!

7 Ways to Simplify Your Life

1. Get rid of clutter

The first way you can simplify your life is by getting rid of the clutter in your life. Start by making a list of all the things that you feel are cluttered and then start to work on getting rid of them. This can be anything from old clothes or toys, old sheets, extra furniture in your home, etc.

You can have a yard sale or just donate the things that you no longer need to someone who might actually use them. You will be surprised at how much better it feels once everything is gone and your life feels less cluttered.

1. Throw away old clothes

2. Sell or donate books you don’t want anymore

3. Clean out your closet and drawers – get rid of anything that doesn’t fit, is torn, or has holes

4. Get rid of things in your fridge and pantry that are expired

5. Toss any broken items like glasses, toys, or plates into the trash (or recycle them if possible)

6. Take a look at what’s in your medicine cabinet; toss anything you haven’t used since last year unless it’s an emergency item

Decluttering is great for mental health too! Take time each day to clear away anything that’s not necessary for living well.

2. Simplify your wardrobe

In this day and age, folks often have more clothes than they can possibly wear. And if you’re like most people, you only wear a small percentage of the clothes in your closet.

Simplify your wardrobe by taking inventory of what you have. If you haven’t worn something in the past year, get rid of it! And if you don’t wear certain items because they don’t fit anymore, donate or sell them and make some cash while at it!

Next on your list to simplify should be your shoes. Take a look at how many pairs are in your closet. Odds are, you probably have more pairs of shoes than necessary.

Here’s a tip: If you don’t wear certain items because they don’t fit anymore, donate them and make some cash while at it!

Well-organized closets help simplify our lives by allowing us to quickly find the clothes we need. If you’re like most people, your closet can get a little messy and disorganized from time to time. To clean it up consider organizing by color, garment type or season of wear so that all items are easy to see and access rather than buried under mountains of hangers!

There are lots of ways you can simplify your wardrobe even more. Building a capsule wardrobe is a great way to create a simplified wardrobe that works for your lifestyle.

What is a capsule wardrobe? A capsule wardrobe is a small selection of clothes that you can mix and match to create a wide variety of outfits. Capsule wardrobes typically contain 30-40 items designed so they work well together so you need fewer clothes to create many outfits!

The next time you are wondering how to simplify your wardrobe, consider building out a capsule wardrobe and then slowly add pieces as needed to round out your wardrobe.

You may just find you love your clothes even more!

3. Wake up earlier in the morning

One of the best ways to simplify your life is by waking up earlier in the morning. Waking up earlier in the morning is a great way to start your day with a sense of calm.

I know what you’re thinking:  “easier said than done!” Believe me, I’ve been there! But it’s actually not as hard as you think to wake up earlier in the morning after just a week or two. It just takes a little practice if you aren’t used to it and after a month you’ll find you’ve created a new habit.

A great tip for waking up early is establishing a morning routine. A simple, yet effective way to do this is by starting with prayer and then doing some light exercise or stretching.

Waking up earlier in the morning can allow you an extra hour of time before work which you can use for yourself like catching up on your favorite blogs or getting a few chores done around the house!

One more important tip for waking up early is to make sure you are in bed by a certain time each night. This will help ensure you get enough sleep which helps keep your energy levels high!

So, if one of the things on your list for how to simplify your life is waking up earlier- try it out and see what happens! You just might be amazed at how much calmer and less stressed your mornings can become!

4. Simplify your daily schedule

Next, work on simplifying your schedule. This includes making a list of all the things you need to do and then figuring out what can be eliminated. You might have so much going on that it’s hard to find time for yourself or someone else but by eliminating some tasks or appointments you won’t feel quite as overwhelmed with life anymore!

1. Create a morning routine

2. Make an evening routine

3. Find your perfect sleep time and stick to it

4. Choose one thing you want to do for yourself each day, like reading a book or going for a walk

5. Plan out your week on Sunday night – make sure everything is crossed off by Friday

6. Ask someone else what they need from you so that you can be there for them when they need it the most

7. Create a morning routine that includes drinking water, exercising, or reading something inspirational

5. Use a planner to help organize all of your tasks

Next, it’s time to get serious about using a planner. There are so many different types of planners that you can use but they all have the same general goal – help you stay organized and on top of your tasks each day!

You could buy one online or in an office supply store like Staples or Walmart. Or if getting out of the house isn’t something you can do right now, there are plenty of apps that connect to your phone so you have a planner on the go!

Another option would be to download a printable planner and customize it just the way you want.

What works best for me is having one dedicated place where I write each day and reminders from my phone. I’ve been using a paper planner with little boxes for each hour of the day and then a page for every day of the week. And I also use my calendar app on my phone to make sure I never miss an appointment.

Every morning I look at my planner and decide what tasks I’m going to work on that day so they get done. It’s also nice because it helps me see how much time I have in between each task, which is a good indicator if something can be pushed back or needs to happen earlier in the day.

This is also a helpful way to plan your time in between appointments too! Just use the times you have available and schedule accordingly so it’s not all bunched up into one timeframe.

6. Find a hobby that you enjoy and spend time on it regularly

Part of simplifying your life is giving yourself permission to do things you enjoy. If you don’t take time each day to relax and do something that makes you happy, it’s hard not to get overwhelmed by life.

You could try starting a new hobby or picking up an old one again. There are lots of free online courses where you can learn how to sew, paint, cook new foods, or do something else you enjoy.

Just remember that it’s a hobby and not an obligation! So don’t make yourself work on this daily if you’re just dreading the thought of doing it again – take the time to look for things that are more fun and enjoyable than others so they can be done with no complaints at all.

7. Create a budget and stick to it

If you’re constantly spending more than you make, it’s hard to feel like your life is simple. It takes a lot of stress out of the equation when you know how much money will be coming in and then have each bill paid on time every month with nothing extra left over for fun things or unexpected situations.

So create a budget that’s realistic and don’t forget to include fun things like going out with friends, or a new book you want once in a while! You’ll be surprised how great it feels when your bills are paid on time each month so you have more money for other purchases.

For some people who need help sticking to a budget, they like using an app called Mint that connects to your checking account and helps you stay on top of each purchase, as well as how much money you have left for the month.

It’s also important to save some money every once in a while so it doesn’t feel like all you do is work!

That way if something unexpected happens or there’s an emergency – like a car breaking down – you’ll have the money to pay for it.

And if you save up enough over time, you might be able to take that dream vacation with your family or buy something nice without worrying how much it costs! It’s all about making sure there is some balance and not just working every day of the week and then barely having time to enjoy it.

Give yourself permission to have a do nothing day

We’re all busy and there are always things to do. So it can be a breath of fresh air when we take some time for ourselves each week just so we don’t go too crazy!

So take some time each week for yourself so life doesn’t get overwhelming – even if that means staying in bed all day long watching movies on the couch or just taking a walk somewhere without having to worry about a specific agenda.

It’s okay to take some time for yourself so you can feel refreshed and ready to jump back into life the next day!

You can also allow yourself one do nothing day per week (or more if that works for your schedule) where you don’t have any obligations or things due at all – it doesn’t matter how much you get done for the day.

Just remember to give yourself a break and sometimes that means putting everything else aside so life doesn’t feel like too much at once!

Think of it as your time to recharge and just enjoy being without having to do anything or take care of anyone but yourself (hence why this is a great time to relax and do something you enjoy).

It’s a way to make sure life doesn’t feel too overwhelming or stressful, so it might be helpful to plan out your day the night before if that helps give you more motivation! Just don’t forget not to beat yourself up for taking some “me” time. It can end up feeling a lot better in the long run.
